Who Am I?

Who am I, and Here I go again...Two songs, and two thoughts that have been running through my mind for far too long. I use to believe I had a firm grasp on who I was, but ever since I came off tour I have no idea! How do I layer myself? Why can't I get it right! And here I go again...doing the same things, making the same mistakes. Why?! Why can't I understand women, why can't I understand myself! I hope I am able to be a good FEO for my probies this semester...but more importantly in the long run, I hope to be myself as an educator. Oh God I need you, I call out from the bottom of my heart, my public cry for your help. As usual, I'm here again. God do you ever get tired of me crawling back to you? I hope not, for I will always be coming to you on my knees..................................................................................

Hello Blog My Old Friend...

Wow, what a whirlwind of business I've been in! So, I have my horn and I love it! I even like practicing now...well I have to because Dr. Baker has me doing a billion things for lessons, I have to play the F tuba and my CC tuba in tuba/euph, and I made Symphony band (second chair even). Tonight we had our first concert, Septemberfest: a tribute to the American Community. It went really well, but all we did were patriotic tunes, nothing difficult. The rest of the music in our folders however are ball busters! But I must say I enjoy playing in Symphony band much more than Concert band (I miss you big and lil! See you in there next semester!). That's the majority of my playing stuff, except for the brass quintet that should be starting up next Wednesday, and I might be giving private lessons to some of the middle school kids at Rowan Co. Mr. Fuller called me tonight and asked me if I was interested and if I didn't mind him posting my contact information for the kids to call. Of course I was ok with it, that's more money! Plus a great teaching opportunity...I was impressed that Dr. Creasap is the one that referred me to David Fuller, good stuff this year.
The newest trend to hit this campus is www.facebook.com, and hit hard! Everyone has one, so if you are out there and have it, you can look me up, Jonathan Ryan Francis. And speaking of me, the FEO thing is some hard work, lol. I love teaching probationary members, right now is crunch time because their national exam is in one week. After that's over and done with I can start teaching them the good stuff! All right, since I don't have stuff to do I'm going to go into the living room and hang out with my big, and Amanda, so take it easy!
