It's Been A Long Time...

Thought I would keep this blog alive for just a little longer. If any of my friends still check this thing let me know so I can decide how much work I should put into this. Later!

Happy New...Everything?

Here it is, a new year, a new "school", a new place to live, a brand new experience, am I ready for it...I have no idea! The good things, I am student teaching at Mason County, where I have taught band camp at for 2 years, and I know the director and most of the kids pretty well. I'm living with my Big so expenses aren't too bad, and I have some one around. Morehead is only 45 minutes away, so friends can come visit and have a place to sleep, I hope. Also I finally have a full kitchen to use that is mine!! I don't know why that makes me happy but it does. Things are going to be all right, I do hope I get to play my tuba a little each day so I can keep up my chops. Too bad Tharp is on the other side of the state! I don't know what either of us will be able to do with out F.A.T, lol. Life should be good though, actually now that I think about it I'm not that worried, in fact I'm looking forward to student teaching! I get to see where my life is going to go, and I have a wonderful friend to help, and wonderful friends to keep me in touch. Love you all, take it easy! :D

Longest Weekend Ever...

So here it is, the weekend of my recital, but before I can get to that I have to take the two music tests from the praxis. Wake up early tomorrow and take a test at 7:30, and then take another at 2:15. To top it all off tomorrow is Middle School Band Clinic. Life is hectic, but it is all coming together. Love you all, see you after Sunday! :D

2 Weeks Until My Senior Recital!!

So yea, here it is, one of the biggest things in my college career takes place in two weeks...just a lil nervous. Tomorrow night is PMA's initiation ceremony, so at least the probationary semester will be over before my recital. Then Tuesday most of the tuba studio will be going to Lexington to see Gene Porkony, tubist for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. God just help keep me chuggin' along. :D

I Quit...

Actually, I lied...I'm too stubborn to quit. But I am really feeling my age. I don't post on this thing hardly, and the nice thing is, I don't need to anymore. My schedule is getting to be really open, but there isn't much time to do anything. But it will all get done, I will solve the problems that lay before me. Why you might ask? Because it's my job, and my privilege of who I am. So God, give me the strength I need. :)

But I miss you most of all my darling...when Autumn Leaves start to fall...

Well, the summer is about halfway over, and it has been an experience. Being out in the work force for the first time has been ah..."special" experience. A person can be intelligent, but people are idiots. But it is nice to make money and save it, instead of having bills to pay...until school starts *sigh*.

But the title refers to my Bluecoats, I miss marching. I'm glad I experienced it and I know I aged out when I needed to, but last night I got to see them at the Lexington show and they were awesome! Blue Stars and Cavilers were also great and I enjoyed their shows too. But to the point, after the show I went to the Bluecoat housing sight to take some powdered gatorade and Ale-8 to the contra section. I realized at the show that I only know 4 of the contras this year out of 11! But when I got there Dudley rounded up as many of them as he could, which turned out to be 4 new guys and himself. It was great standing around and talking with them and remembering last summer, but the best feeling was the fact that they were listening to me talk. Last summer I didn't do very much of that, since I was the one new to the activity, but now I was an alumni, a vet. They were standing there listening and seeming to enjoy what I was saying, that or being polite since I brought them Ale-8 :D, but I believe the first half. It almost makes me wish I got to march 2 years instead of just one, but my life has been so full of wonderful things that I can't change the things that have happened...I wouldn't change the things that have happened.

Summer Fun?

Wow, talk about a whirlwind ending to a semester. But it turned out to be my best semester ever in college, 4.0 G.P.A! I tell you though, my finals week is a blur, the only way I made it through was thank to Jesus! So, I started work at a local bank here at home and I have to say that I am enjoying it so far, training sucks because I feel so helpless, but I enjoy the people I work with...in this job. I have one band camp and a half ready for the summer, but that would mean 3 weeks I can't work at the bank. So I need to talk to everyone and find the ideal solution. Well, I hope everyone is having a beautimous summer, I know I will and if you need me, you know how to get a hold of me, till then take it easy!
